Registration is now open for the Summer 2018 Teacher Training Seminar. We will be meeting July 26 and 27 with a new opportunity to obtain training on the High School Business Challenge and the Stock Market Game from Tim Alzheimer, the simulations administrator. In addition to learning more about these simulations, teachers will receive renewal unit credit for the training.
9 a.m. - 11 a.m. High School Business Challenge Training (2 renewal units)
11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Stock Market Game Training (1 renewal unit)
12 p.m. - 8 p.m. Teaching Economics Seminar - includes group dinner (6 renewal units)
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.Teaching Economics Seminar (6 renewal units)
Please note the Teaching Economics Seminar is offered as a two day block.
Lodging, parking, mileage and food is covered by MCEE and its sponsors.
Most of the workshops held by MCEE focus on lesson plans on various economic topics for the teacher to take back to their classroom. Teachers can earn re-certification renewal units for attending MCEE's events.
Nearly all events are provided at no or minimal cost to those attending. Many sessions are taught by faculty from the Department of Agriculture Economics/Economics at Montana State University Bozeman and other instructors, including MCEE board members.
Another scheduled opportunity for teacher training will be October, 2018 in Billings at the MEA/MFT Educators' Conference.
