Sam Gane’s career consisted of thirty five years with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and its Helena Branch in research, planning, management and executive leadership. Gane served as Vice President and Branch Manager in Helena and retired in 2007.
Gane has a BS degree in business/economics and an MA degree in economics, both from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. In addition, he is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, University of Delaware, and an executive leadership program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
Sam has been involved with the MCEE since 1996 when he helped bring the Economics Challenge program to Montana. He has served on MCEE’s board of directors since 1999 and formerly as board president. Other retirement activities are too numerous to list but include US Coast Guard Auxiliary service on Canyon Ferry Lake.
